With a huge line-up of fixtures v Oakham, squash v Bloxham and Oundle and badminton v Oundle, alongside the first cross country away trip of the season, last weekend saw plenty of sporting achievements.
In hockey, the Boys 1st XI won 2-0 v Oakham, following some brilliant victories for the 2nd XI (County Tournament) and U16As (Round 1 Cup) earlier in the week.
Although the 1st XI netball team lost out to Oakham this time, the 2nd (23-10), 4th (27-19), 15A (37-28) and 14B (28-21) teams managed to emerge victorious.
The Boys 16A and Girls 1st XI football teams both won their fixtures v Oakham, winning 4-0 and 4-1 respectively.
The weekend also saw great results in lacrosse, with both the 1st (10-2) and 2nd (8-2) teams winning their fixtures v Oakham.
The Boys 18A and 18B teams won all of their fixtures v Stamford and Bloxham, with the Mixed 1st and 2nd Badminton teams also winning their fixtures v Oundle.
Cross country also enjoyed a brilliant weekend, with a number of debuts and 1-2 finishes for our senior teams.
Tuesday brought with it further sporting successes, with our U14A rugby team advancing to the quarter final stage after a convincing 41-17 win v Faringaye High School. Our boys' 1st XI and U14A hockey teams both advance to the next round of the National Cup, after winning their second round fixtures 5-4 v Kimbolton School and 6-4 v Stamford respectively.
Alongside these terrific performances were wins for our mixed badminton 1st and 2nd teams v Oakham, and U18A and B squash teams v Oundle.
As another week draws to a close, we look forward to another Super Saturday of sport, which will include badminton, basketball and hockey v Stowe, football v Bedford and Oundle, netball v Stamford and match three of the East Midlands Cross Country League.
