Our music teaching staff offer targeted tuition and a depth of musical expertise. We are proud of our links to the music industry and many of our teachers continue to perform professionally in world-class orchestras and ensembles, or as soloists in their own right.
Overseen by our Director of Music and former operatic tenor, Andrew Kennedy, the music department is supported by two Assistant Directors of Music (Academic and Instrumental), five faculty heads (Strings; Keyboard; Wind, Brass and Percussion; Jazz, Pop and Music Technology; Singing), and more than 45 visiting music teachers, including current professors at the Royal College of Music, The Guildhall School of Music and Drama, and the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire of Music
